To put notes on these vans?

Our street is on-road parking with a grass border by the curb. You have to walk on the grass to get into your car. Two vans belonging to someone on the street (only just moved here so don't know who) are left parked with the wheels up on the grass, leaving deep ruts and turning it into mud. They park with the driver's door on the road side, so the driver doesn't have to walk through the mud, but everyone else who has passengers has to and it is horrible. Would IBU to leave notes on these vans asking them to not park on the grass?

No, you would not be unreasonable but you need to be very careful about the wording! Or you could actually ask them politely?

I would speak to them but I have no idea who the vans belong to. I've never seen them arrive or leave, although I suppose I could set up CCTV What would you pu in a note?

YAMDNBU.

There's a house across the road from mine having extensive work done and there's about six vans there on any given day, clogging up all of the street but anyway...

One van in particular mounts the path to park and leaves a gap of about one foot to get through. The amount of times I've had to push LOs buggy into the road to walk around the van... I've lost count. it's not even a very narrow street so no excuse really. Last friday, I saw a guy loading up stuff into the van and I was pushing LO into the road again to get round it and I said "you might want to think about where you're parking your van because you're blocking the pathway." To which he kissed his teeth and called me a spoiled brat.

Yeah, dead spoilt wanting to be ale to walk on a footpath.
