The delicious home-made Spaghetti Bolognaise that had been lurking in the fridge since Easter Sunday?

DH thinks I'm being overly cautious as he always ignores BB dates and "is never ill". And "it's been refrigerated at 2degrees and therefore will be fine."

He's being soo freaking parsimonious at the moment he seriously expected me to reheat it in the 9th day and be grateful for quality homemade food. WTF?

Would you have eaten it?

Had cheese and potato pie btw!

Gosh thanks everyone for your comments.

I love it when I'm right.

TBH something would not normally slip under my radar for 9 days but, in this instance, we have just had a massive new fridge freezer in the garage to be used for drinks and excess food for entertaining. As we had nearly 30 over for lunch on Easter Monday I had cooked the food on the sunday - chilled properly and then slowcookered (?) it on the monday for the guests. The food that had gone unnoticed wouldn't fit in the slow cookers or in the normal fridge on the day and consequently was popped in the drinks fridge in the garage all alone and forgotten about. My DH had gone in to that fridge to get beer out and rediscovered the food.

I hope you now all realise that I'm not a rabid slattern but someone who should be congratulated for not needing to visit my beer fridge for over a week.

Please someone tell me I'm not slovernly for harbouring a meat dish in my fridge for over a week. [desperation smiley]

We had a rum & raisin yoghurt in our fridge for a year once! It became a kind of pet. Not sure why it didn't explode - probably an alcohol thing! So spag bol for 9 days is nothing

Nooo everyone says 9dayold food is badness.

The spag bol had red wine in.
