Told ds I'd take him to the zoo today, but have just started my period in spectacular fashion (meaning chronic stomach ache)

bollocks

I wonder if I can get away with dosing up on feminax and only staying for a couple of hours....

he'll be easier to entertain at the zoo than stuck bored in the house

stick a hot water bottle in your waistband and push on through

MrsVidic · 09/04/2010 11:35

would a safari be easier?

Alambil · 09/04/2010 11:36

yy feminax will help, am sure - hot water bottles don't do much for me

I just hope it remains relatively light today could do without THAT on top of it all!

Take him, drug yourself up, taking your mind off of it will help (it does with me).

Alambil · 09/04/2010 11:36

mrs vidic we can't afford that we are members of the zoo so get in "for free" - I will do the train and he can go on the slides... that means I can sit down quite a lot

And make sure you know where the toilets are .

worldgonemad72 · 09/04/2010 11:38

take a couple of painkillers, use a heat pad and enjoy yourself. Imagine being stuck at home on a lovely day with a child that is disappointed they arnt going to the zoo, you'll end up with a headache to go with the cramps.

Alambil · 09/04/2010 11:39

the way he's acting like a stroppy 2 year old wrt getting dressed, he'll be lucky if he gets there! LOL!

I will take him; will just take lots of supplies and remember where the loos are!

Hope you have a lovely day

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 09/04/2010 11:46

Feminax is crap, I used to take paracetamol and Buscopan which helped.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 09/04/2010 11:48

btw just want to clarify I am not a doctor and always read the label.

WitchyWooWoo · 09/04/2010 12:50

have a lovely day, take some painkillers and some chocolate with you. i can promise you that watching your ds being so happy will numb the pain then think... he'll be tired out tonight, i can have wine and more chocolate!!

Alambil · 09/04/2010 17:36

well we went - just got home... four hours I lasted which isn't bad!

We're members of the zoo so it's not a massive deal when we go but he got to go on the train which is a big deal! And we saw the elliepants going on their walk; they had the 1 yr old baby ... soooo cute holding it's mothers tail
