We only moved into our Civilian house on Thursday, it has been Easter, so you would think people wouldn't have been working.

But as of 10 minutes ago we have had half a dozen bloody people knock on our door!

before this we lived behind the wire on an Army Camp, they were not allowed on the Camp.

It is going to drive me mad.

Put a little sign up. It won't stop them all, but it will stop some and you can point to it when they do knock.

And if you get them on the phone too register with the Telephone Preference Service. that doesn't work 100% either, but it cuts them right down.

YABU if you do scream at them. They are just trying to earn a living and at least they aren't just throwing in the towel and going on jobseekers allowance.

How would you feel if you had to do that for a living?

Put a sign up and if anyone ignores it, politely point it out to them.

piscesmoon · 06/04/2010 19:02

I don't have a problem these days-I just open the door and say, politely, 'I'm not interested thank you' and close the door. It works every time.

Shoshe · 06/04/2010 19:08

I wouldn't rreally s cream at them, and pisces, that is what I did.

I just couldnt believe how many times the doorbell went! Been shelded from this for so long, you forget.

Will get a sign, being a CM, I hate not knowing who is ringing my door, havnt worked so far here, but I wont answer the door ton somebody I dont know with the Mindees in the house.

I suppose it is worse with the Election coming up.
