both of you imo you should have spoken of it together for some easter eggs are a big deal and a part of their traditions for others they mean little

if it was me I would take it as an opertunity to learn about each other perhaps start a new easter joint thing you do pinata and easter eggs springs to mind right now..

Buzzybb · 03/04/2010 23:34

He did not even get me a lollypop never mind an egg and it was me who took 5 kiddies to an egg hunt today so figured with all the other eggs they would get it would be something different my nephew toldme he has 5 eggs and will be getting more tomorrow, it is madness my DD 10 months has 4 eggs never mind what Aunties etc will give her tomorrow,

I think your idea sounds nice, agree that children usually get far too many eggs anyway! Eggs are overpriced and mainly packaging anyway and they are getting chocs with your idea anyway

dillydallydolly · 03/04/2010 23:48

That is such a lovely and thoughtful thing to do! He is being a bit silly IMO.
I wish my DC were'nt gettin as much chocolate as I know they will recieve sunday! Much more fun bashing pinatas than having to hold back on the eggs (I really don't want DD being sick from it all so she won't get it all in one go - I forsee arguments and DS is only 11months dont want him to have any at all TBH!
I think and would hope your family will be very grateful for your original take on easter enjoy!

i don't give my DS's easter eggs either. This year they have millions of arts and craft stuff and because they have their birthdays around easter (and only a fortnight apart) they also get one big present between them. This year they are getting a trampoline.
