lol very good point!

TheCrackFox · 03/04/2010 10:25

LOL

Guess The Sun missed the multi-million selling books that the film is based on.

Hassled · 03/04/2010 10:30

There was a book ? That passed me by completely.

Kaloki · 03/04/2010 12:02

You don't expect Sun readers to actually read do you?I thought the text was just there to break up the space between boobs.

Goingspare · 03/04/2010 12:17

I think we should be fair and acknowledge that it says that the script reveals 'dramatic changes' from the book.

But yes, in general, I agree with the premise in your OP.

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 03/04/2010 12:20

Well the article does say that there are dramatic changes from the book. So I guess thats the story so maybe The Sun isn't stupid.

Goingspare · 03/04/2010 12:20

I'd have thought that if the pub enjoys a good income from film crews, they'd have done the decent thing and handed the script straight back.

Ah, so D. Radcliffe not quite a regular then?

AvadaKedavra · 03/04/2010 13:07

There won't be any dramatic changes will there, come on, they can't change the way the story is at all.

Perhaps the whole thing is a marketing exercise then, to get us to go and see if Harry makes it.

I read this article (after my DH had finished with the paper which he buys for the football news - my excuse and Im sticking to it!)

Anyway - what really annoyed me was the way the person who found the script was portrayed as 'honest' and 'so pleased that they were able to stop any secrets fom being released by turning it in!'

Uh - you turned it in to the SUN paper you knob, NOTHING honorable about that!

Papers left in a pub/taxi/brothel are always Top Secret, didn't you know that?

MathsMadMummy · 03/04/2010 14:19

surely the real issue is why there are such dramatic changes between the book and the film?

Goingspare · 03/04/2010 14:43

I don't think that film makers should be obliged to be faithful to a book, though it's up to the audience to decide whether any changes are for the better or not.

AvadaKedavra · 03/04/2010 20:07

In something so important as the last book where all the ends are tied up, there shouldn't be anyone making "dramatic changes"
