What level of hurt are we talking about here, before I make judgement!

AmeliaCordelia · 31/03/2010 18:48

YANBU to not care but some people do care and IMO it IS news so close to the world cup.

cakeywakey · 31/03/2010 18:50

If you're talking about Wayne Rooney, then YANBU to not care, but can surely understand why other people would with a major tournament coming up?

I have to admit to having developed a soft spot for Wayne Rooney. I know he's behaved like an arse in the past (as well as doing the dirty on Coleen) but he seems to have matured and is really coming into his own.

In this case MDS it's not career-threatening, but not great for him, his club or potentially the England team. Good points on him being 'overpaid' though, just strikes me as when people bring it up.

Shaz10 · 31/03/2010 19:02

Bugger the World Cup, we need him against Chelsea!

I care. I care a lot. But you don't have to care. It's not the law.

MrsC2010 · 31/03/2010 19:05

Couldn't care less, and didn't even know till I read it here.

MaureenMLove · 31/03/2010 19:08

I don't care for Mr R very much tbh, but unfortunately, he (and all of the England team) will be headline news for the next few months, if they injure themselves.

I know the 'hurt' actually doesn't sound too bad, but then, you don't play for ManU or England. It's got to be a blow for him. He is ultimately a little boy and someones son. He won't be able to play in Champions league games now, which will be devestating to him and his mum, I bet.

Think how you'd feel if your little boy hurt himself and couldn't play a part in getting his team to the cup final?

I'm over analysing this! I'm a Arsenal fan, so actually, it's all good from where I'm sitting!

MrsVidic · 31/03/2010 19:22

I care- my DP will not be happy if man u dont win anything. Indeed he named our cat rooney as he loves that sodding team so much.

Also he is high paid and I'm glad he is high paid in this country, paying tax, spending money.

notnowbernard · 31/03/2010 20:56

YABU

He's not getting paid to represent his country and I'll bet my mortgage that will be stressing him out more than whether he can play for his club for the rest of the season or not

FWIW I reckon WR is the sort of player who would put in 100% week in week out whether he was paid top dollar or a YTS wage

geordieminx · 31/03/2010 20:57

Shrek!

Ponders · 31/03/2010 20:59

They don't do it for the money at this level (although it clearly comes in quite handy )

The World Cup matters in football, but if you couldn't care less, just take no notice
