i had highlights put through it less than 3 weeks ago and they have faded really badly already. I paid 91quid for it and feel i have been ripped off. The last time i got highlights put in they were there for months. I can barely see the lot that have just been put in. I bought the shampoo and conditioner the hairdresser recommended so i cant have been using the wrong stuff!

go back

southeastastra · 30/03/2010 16:36

yes go back for that amount of money! they must have just tinted it slightly

Prinpo · 30/03/2010 16:41

I agree, go back, tell them exactly what you're unhappy about. Wait to see what they offer and, if they're not forthcoming, then tell them what you want them to do. Might be worth 'phoning Consumer Direct (or whatever they're called) before you go in just so you know where you stand legally. They provided you with a service which was not of a standard that you should reasonably expect so you should be covered in some way.

i really wouldn't be bother if it wasn't so expensive, i got it done as a birthday present from my DP, my mate at college could have done a better job!

It cost £91!

Mouseface · 30/03/2010 17:16

Seriously, £91???? Go back.

ticktockclock · 30/03/2010 17:25

Yes I would as well. Even though I had my hair done about 5 months ago, hated the results, told the hairdresser that I hated the results and it was not what I asked for. Hairdresser gave me her card, told me to go home and think about it and if I still felt that way after a week give her a call and she would see what she could do.

I thought about it and decided I did not want her touching my hair again. Should have contacted the salon and asked for another hairdresser to correct the error but just couldn't bring myself to do it. It cost me £190 to get done.

About a month later I went to a training session and got it corrected for free.

Pikelit · 30/03/2010 17:27

£190 ?

I thought I held the record for the most ludicrous price paid for (and admittedly fab) colour and cut at £150.

BlingLoving · 30/03/2010 17:31

Any decent hairdresser (and I'm assuming at £91 they are decent) will of course redo your hair if the colour is so unsatisfactory. But you need to go soon - or at least phone. If you leave it for ages it starts to look like you just want a free second colour.

twolittlemonkeys · 30/03/2010 17:34

Definitely go back and ask if they can redo it. £91 is too much money to waste. My most expensive haircut & highlights cost me £152 - I nearly choked when they told me how much it was, but at least it did look great!! Haven't been to the hairdressers for about a year and am desperate to get something done.

ticktockclock · 30/03/2010 17:45

Yep, £190 and that was with a discount! Not that strange in a central London top salon with the Senior technician.

I hated it! I wish I had done something...but didn't...

mangoandlime · 30/03/2010 17:49

Yes, I believe that amount. My sister goes to Jo Hansford so I know how much it can cost. You must go back, it's your hard earned cash and if you're not happy you must have it put right. I know what you mean about barely there highlights, sometimes you really have to hammer it home that you actually want to see them, not have a subtle shimmer! I've complained in the past, you must do it and be a happy customer.
