My dd (3yo) has a friend to play this morning.

Everything is "I got the pink apron, ner ner nener ner"

"I got the biggest one! Ner ner nener ner"

"I climbed the highest, ner ner nener ner"

"I am the winner! Ner ner nener ner!"

It's just so ungracious.

damnedchilblains · 28/03/2010 14:49

tis the story of childhood

Eve4Walle · 28/03/2010 15:31

Could be worse. DDs little friend isists on telling me every time she thinks DD has done something wrong and trying to get her into trouble. I can't stand snitching! DD knows this so never 'tells' on her friend, even when she's been mean.

tethersend · 28/03/2010 15:34

Retort with a 'your mum'.

Rockbird · 28/03/2010 15:35

This has been around for centuries. Bit late to wound up by it now.

DemonChild · 28/03/2010 16:42

'So's yer face' always works for me as a comeback...

ShadeofViolet · 28/03/2010 16:44

'Tough titbags' is a good one, but maybe not for a 3 year old.

Neverchuckanokiaatthepm · 28/03/2010 16:47

bah bah bah ban ban ban bah ban ner ner ner ner ner. BAN IT ALL I BLOODY SAY!

BuzzingNoise · 28/03/2010 16:48

It doesn't bother me, so ner!

outnumbered2to1 · 29/03/2010 01:11

have a nephew who is like this. Always has to be first at everything so much so that in his haste to beat my DS to be the first one at the dinner table he ran into the side edge of the partially open door.

I will admit i did have a chuckle as my DS said quite matter of factly - your first to run into the door ner ner ner ner ner

BritFish · 29/03/2010 01:28

I HATE it too. DS1, aged 3 started doing it. I told him not to every time, and finally got him to understand that it was not polite, and to stop it - then his sodding pre-school teaches him a song withe the chorus "ner ner ner ner ner, you can't catch me" I give up!!!!

stealthsquiggle · 29/03/2010 08:55

My DD will pompously inform anyone who will listen that Ner ner nener ner is rude.

She is a dreadful tell-tale though
