current election-hysteria aside, there have been notable discussions as to whether offical lobby groups could be borne out of various mn boards (ie pan-disability lobby group from sn).
the never-ending quoting and re-hashing is ridiculous in the extreme, but i wouldn't say politics should be kept away completely... just kept in a little box for us to take out and play with when we felt the need...
but yanbu to be bored rigid by the 'mumsnet election' lol...
