What barely notable things happened to you today?

I have been looking at Martin Parr this week, Mavis- it must have rubbed off on me.

I got overtaken by an idiotic taxi driver, and just ate a rather yummy orange ice lolly.

I got up early because I was too tired last night to glue food to my fake beard for my Mr Twit book day costume. It looked fab when I had done it
Went to school and sat through assembly ( kids and staff looked amazing!)
Straight after assembly, got changed and went to the funeral of a dear neighbour of 23 years which was both sad and uplifting in equal quantities.
After work I went to see the plumbers who are fitting the heating in my 'new' house... love the radiators
Went shopping, made tea, took kids swimming and then opened bottle of wine bought on shopping trip.... went on MN

All small events which somehow mounted up...

Just read the barely notable bit and would like to retract the bit about the funeral...

I locked us all out, which was bad, but then remembered where I'd hidden a spare key last summer, which was good.

At 730am I wrote 6 cheques for school stuff, ironed school uniform and berated myself for not doing it last night.

Counted 6 frogs in school pond.

I decided my new job (2nd day) is best job ever as someone gave me a cup of tea as I arrived (easily pleased/very British).

Hoovered up ants in conservatory and have been feeling guilty/worried ever since.

watched a film that made me think 'must buy Pixies album on cd' for 2nd time in 2 days.

I love this thread so I'm going to talk about today now...

Went to Next for bits and bobs and they forgot to charge me for DD's new duvet set thing. Only realised this an hour ago.

Couldn't face cooking so I had rice crispies for my dinner.

I cried at stupid RomCom because I can't have what I want.

I cleaned my kitchen floor before 8am this morning!

Waited in long queue at bank to pay in money for ds and dd savings accounts and halfway through ds decided he needed a wee so had to leave and start all over again!!

I planted tomato seeds.

I have put all my clocks forward already.

I thought my DP had thrown something away, but it was ok, he hadn't.

I learned I should never work with children. I have had my friends 5 year old and 3 year old over for the night and its now 9:30 and I actually feel ready ready ready to kill. On the other hand I appreciate my own children all the more for not being so difficult!
