My PILs were supposed to come over to see us today, and were going to be here by 4 pm. At 4.30 I phoned to see if they were ok and was told they had decided not to come and they are going to come on monday. I told MIL that we are not here then and she moaned that they don't see enough of the DCs.

YANBU, they should have rearranged it with you. Not just assume you are available when they are.

My MIL does this. She will want to come at a certain time only and if we are unavailable she moans that she never sees DS, even though she is free up until 5 o clock everyday. Not that bothers that often anyway so I can't see why she moans that she doesn't see DS.

YANBU. How rude to not bother calling, let alone rearranging without consulting you.
