managed to catch a bit of One born every minute last week, and now everytime she has a wash or wipes after a wee or a poo, she tries to open up her bits and keeps saying 'take the baby out'. I told DH not to let her see it as I was doing the washing up and but he just left her to it!!

Aaah, bless. Wouldn't have been my first choice of viewing tbh but I wouldn't worry about now it's done, unless DD is upset or worried. Kids get all sorts of funny ideas and it's best not to make a big thing out of it - least said sort of thing. I'd just laugh it off with her, make light of it. My mum once caught my brother trying to stuff a tampax up his bum - we haven't let him forget it. Lol.

lol!! i havent said anything, i just laugh it of and hope she gets distracted with something else. what i am worried about is when she goes to the her minder or her nan, what would they think!!!

Why don't you just say to her "Yes DD, that is where babies come from, if you want to know anything, you can always ask me, but it's not really polite to talk about it to other people." - I don't really see that it's a big issue TBH - she will need to know one day. Would be more embarrassing if she suddenly started going on about how the baby gets in anyway

aww, how old is she? my ds was 4 when he watched a woman give birth on discovrery, i left him with my pregnant friend who didnt think, we had the where babys come from chat and he was ok.. might help to give her a basic idea of how babys get in there.. when a mummy and a daddy love each other kind of way??

ds, now 8 was literaly one minite late to seeing his sister born last year in the living room.. the midwife had just lifted her to my chest, cord still attatched, he said he was sat at the top of the stairs listening.. had some interesting storys to tell at school... new baby is due in august and he wants me to wake him up so he can be there

I let mine (6 and 3) watch an episode

AM pg atm and they are obsessed with all things baby/pregnancy/birth related - esp older one

It was the one with the woman who was on her 4th (her DP and son were there) and the little boy who was born with his bowel outside his body

So reasonably 'tame' really - and I don't think it freaked them out at all. Was a good opportunity to answer questions as they came up
