To feel unreasonably proud of my grandson

Had to go to the walk in centre with a minor injury as Grandson collided with another child in the playground. There was a little girl (about 3) obviously bored and fed up so being a bit of a pain (shouting, banging chairs around etc)

My grandson (9) got a book out of the box, went over to the little girl, sat and read to her, played with her and kept her entertained till she was called.

I was really struck by how thoughtful he was

not at all!

If that was my DD I would puff my chest out in a proud mummy moment

What a lovely boy!

You should be very proud - he sounds lovely.

Megatron · 24/03/2010 12:41

He sounds adorable. You have every right to feel very proud!

RiverOfSleep · 24/03/2010 12:42

What a sweetheart!
Hope he was ok in the end (and the little girl)

Bibithree · 24/03/2010 12:42

Not unreasonable at all, he sounds like an absolute gem!

oldernowiser · 24/03/2010 12:45

He is lovely, very sociable and very kind. He's not terribly accademic and has trouble concentrating at school so this sort of thing just really reminds me that there's more to life than being in the top classes and so on. That's why I'm so smiley today thinking about him
