to think that if I'm told someone will ring me in one hour, they should do just that?

We booked a haven holiday for April back in December. On Thursday last week they rang to tell us it was cancelled due to there being a rugby tournament and a majorette competition on the same park at the same time - which happens to be the first weekend of our holiday.

I sent an email to the customer services manager on Thursday evening and got a reply saying it would be dealt with within 24 hours. Fine. It gets to Saturday afternoon, nothing. So I ring. Sorry, can't do anything oh but would you like to go to XXXX park instead? Which apparently we can't do anyway because everything is on hold until the CS Manager looks into it.

So I leave it until today. Still nothing. So I ring again to be told that I will be called in one hour. Not in around an hour, in one hour. That was at 11.30am and I am still waiting.

I am so tempted at this point to tell them to stick their holiday. ARGH.

Blimey! I would so tell them to stick it and go with their rivals cos it sounds like they're taking the p*!

If you do continue with this then make sure you get FREE stuff...threaten to contact whatever governing body there is for holiday parks.

i would tell them to stick it too!

What Haven park? I have booked for April to.

BetsyLittleson · 24/03/2010 09:58

Primrose Valley. And I'm still waiting for a phone call.

Really hacked off now.

Are haven park the same as my estate agents. Bastards never phone me back because we live abroad. It's fine for them to be making shed loads of money out of us, but they always have an excuse. Shower of shaggers. In your situation, I'd phone them and, like one poster said, ask for lots of freebies.

WhoIsAsking · 24/03/2010 10:10

Cancel the holiday. (The last Haven holiday I went on was freaking appalling, so I'm biased)

We've been twice a year for the last 5 years and had fab holidays. This is the first problem we've had and I'm so disappointed in them. Ds1 is just old enough to understand we were going back and then they pull this.

I'll give them till 11.30 and then ring them.

What did they say?

BetsyLittleson · 25/03/2010 10:43

Sorry, meant to update yesterday but annoying children distracted me. We got the same dates on Blue Dolphin park, better caravan, £50 cash refund, £50 vouchers for meals and free passes into Primrose Valley on top of that AND they're going to sort us a van with a veranda.

Not exactly the result I wanted but better than losing out totally.
