I've just seen an advert for a scooter that can make sparks and just thought OMG how are bush fires started? Here son go and play with matches.

That doesn't sound like the best idea in the world. That said, I remember playing with "spaceman" guns when I was little and they made sparks. I never set anything on fire but, the again I didn't live in the bush! I remember they did tingle if you shot your own tongue though!

Is it wrong that I want a go on a sparky scooter, I used to love those guns Branflake.

I would like to point out that my 'mum voice' is tutting at my childish, irresponsibe self.

Get a grip, it's a kids toy.
DS2 (8) got one for Christmas, it won't spark on grass etc, needs a pavement. No different to using a rough stone along a path to cause sparks. They last for a millisecond.

notso - they were fun...and my tongue never caught on fire! I think my brother had sparking toy cars too.

Avril - lmao!!!

Oh yes, would love a go - DD1's friend has one and it's very cool.

They're banned in Australia though.
