Got a horrible feeling I'm not going to get any of my choices, having failed to include the nearest school due to dd1's bad experiences there. Ho hum.

reception places

I was not BU! It just arrived and am slightly dissapointed to get our 3rd choice but it will be okay - nothing wrong with it at all, it's just not as all singing and dancing as choiuce 1 and 2

at least I now know and can try to sort childcare

we dont find out until 16th april!

UNbelievably, been offered first choice so mightily relieved at the moment.
Hope everyone else gets the school they prefer. The waiting is horrible, isn't it?

YANBU we were doing this last year but we didnt get any of our choices and ended up getting sent to some random school thats a pain to get to! (bitter).

i'm happy with it and its a 30 second walk

only put it 3rd as I was happy with all 3 schools but knew a place at this one was almost guaranteed - seemed a shame to waste 1st choice on that.

yup, have check junk and inbox. still nothing. have double checked online and not up yet - but says I have a closed application and everything looks fine so hoping it went through ok. Just waiting for my email to come through their filter system I guess.

just come through. Got 2nd choice. Is a good school, just a bit far away. Going to accept but go on the waiting list for my first choice in the hope a space comes up.

was talking to some friends last night and some didnt get any of their choices - they took the gamble of not putting the very near, nice but undersubscribec school on thier list as normally people get placed there. Bad gamble this year it seems as they have ended up with quite a rough school further away, so so glad i put out 3rd choice down now. Wonder if the birth rates were up for this years intake in my area ...
