to think that fruit puree might be a good sandwich filling for a 10 month old?

...... unless there are any major objections DD is getting it for lunch

She usually has a sandwich for lunch (one piece of bread, usually with Laughing Cow) I've tried her with grated cheese but she just opens the sandwich and throws it everywhere...... mashed banana became shampoo, but fruit puree is a bit more spreadable (and she usually has it for pud anyway)

Any opinions welcome!

Avacado and hummus is a good filling, egg is another good one. I use a rolling pin to squish the sandwich together! Can't see any reason why you can't use puree but it might be a bit too liquid.

I used to make ds toast soldiers and let him dip it into a pot of fruit puree he loved it

I must try hummous for her, I love it too, I hadn't thought of giving it to her so thanks for the recommendation!

Tuna and mayo?

Feelingsensitive · 21/03/2010 08:38

Can't see why not its kind of like jam isn't it. Good way to sneak some extra friut in her as well

What about Philadelphia plus fruit puree. That might be nice.

I used to mix grated cheese with either some soft cheese, or a bit of mayo. Makes it stay together and a bit moister.

DS liked mackerel pate made by mashing a bit of smoked mackerel with soft cheese

Ummm I might try my just 10 months old DS with a sandwich - he hasn't had one yet. TBH hadn't occured to me to ry him with one. But would be good to take to the cm for his lunch once I am back at work.
