DH and I fancied a drink last night, so he said he would pop into town to buy a bottle of scotch. I got on the Tesco website and they had our favourite on sale for £15 a litre, so off he went. When he got there, the 70cl bottles were on sale for £11 but they were sold out; the litre bottles were full price (over £19).
He asked at Customer Services and they said that prices vary from store to store, and the £15 offer was only for home delivery which has a £5.95 charge.
My argument is, if I order it with a home delivery, the charge is for ALL my shopping so it only works out at a few pence per item. And the scotch would be £15 for home delivery, and would actually come from our local store and be one of the bottles my husband was looking at!
AIBU to be really annoyed about this and write a snotty letter to Tesco (which I may already have written and sent) or should I get over it and get a life?
