Now, I thought I'd look on Netmums to see what it was like. It seems that tonight they've been doing the "eating food in supermarkets" thread. They all said it was fine and laughed.
Does anyone think it would have gone the same way on MN?

hehe, I go on netmums sometimes, they have a great nearly new board that you can pick up some real bargains from plus your local area guide to whats going on and playgroups etc.

I love netmums colouring pages... and local whats on page....

But we dooooo have a bar I was there last night was fab! MaureenMLove started it all off and we all had drinks and there was cheesy music and people made inadvisable statements and name changed etc we all learned some down wivvva kids stuff and listened to classic pop!

Isn't it a bit early on a Saturday morning to be starting this one? If you wait til later when they've had a drink, it'll be far more amusing, we luuurve nm drunk invasions !

oh yes, we always have a BBAAARRRRRRRRRR its just that their wine bar sounded so posh and grown up (i know it wasn't but still)

The Nearly New board on Netmums is great, have picked up a few bargains myself and made some extra pennies before Christmas.

I used to be on there alot, the main difference, apart from the tickers and the huns is that people really take things very personally over there, whereas here people seem alot thicker skinned!

The world would be a dull place if we were all the same nm suits some and mn suits others, and there are some who love to switch between the 2.

We're all the same really, just people who want to chat.

Yes I'm new to mumsnet. Only heard about mumsnet recently. I will check it out.

I was looking on NM for their local stuff but nothing in my area that was up to date. I found it much more complicated to navigate too
