to think that if you are off sick with severe exhaustion/morning sickness then you perhaps shouldn't go to a wedding?

I am totally sympathetic to people being off sick when pregnant - I know how bad it is plus the person in question has 2 other DC under 4 so no wonder she was exhausted

However, I am not sure if it was appropriate to attend another colleagues wedding in the middle of her sick leave? When she returned to work, she told us it was that bad, she couldn't get out of bed for 3 weeks etc - yet she managed to get out of bed, get ready, attend a wedding (afternoon and evening) until at least 10pm and, by all accounts, look pretty good aswell.

Am I being a bitch to think badly of her??

No, if she was caught doing that where I work, she'd lose her sick pay for the wedding day and all the days afterwards unless she could produce a doctor's note.

I think it's highly suspect, as my ms has been horrible but probably not bad enough for lots of sick leave (although TF I am not working anymore), and I have still missed out on many evenings out and two weddings also because of it. Hmmm.

I was on pregnancy sick leave because of a rubella scare in school (i.e. I wasn't even sick!) and I thought it was inappropriate to attend a function because of it. She's taking the piss.

No, and I probably would of made some snarky remark to her about it, but then I can be a bitch at times
