i said to him, to either start helping when i am working ( i do wed, thurs and fri)or i will come out of work and he will have to get a part time job to cover the bills.

i just can't do both, atm i am doing everything in the house inclding all the cooking, getting 2 kids sorted for when nanny has them while i am at work.

YABU, but only because he should be doing his share every day of the week, not just those that you work.

Note: doing his share, not 'helping'; that makes it sound like it really is your job and so he's quite right to leave it to you.
