To ask for another mobile?

I just spent £160 on a new mobile, car-charger, memory card and first top-up. But the phone I chose was a bad mistake. I can get used to its quirks and irritations, but the feature that was most important to me - the calendar and organiser - are feeble and utterly dire. Also it does not interface well with our PC - which is important for synchronising the calendars and using it as an organiser.

So yesterday my mum asks me what I want for my birthday. AIBU to ask for a new mobile? Dh thinks I am and that it would mean that we have thrown £130 down the drain (the top-up and memory card would not of course be transferable).

Argh! Meant the top-up and memory card would of course be transferable.

surely you could sell on ebay and recoup most of what you spent?

Even tho I've used it, and installed the software on my PC?

Yes. Ebay it.

Try Gumtree. Ebay can be a bit of a scammers paradise when it comes to mobile phones.

Record the IMEI numbers and set your bidder preferences tight if you use ebay!

Send it to mazuma.

Take it back, dh bought one from tesco for £100 used it for three weeks didn't like it and took it back and to my amazement they gave him a refund.

Agree with Goodadvice1980
My DMIL was almost scammed until she asked me to go into her account and print the postage label

Gah! Tried to return it to Carphone Warehouse, but they wouldn't do it because I'd had it for longer than 2w. I thought within 1month was a reasonable time - but apparently not.

I am so cross. I had to buy it sight-unseen, on their recommendation, because they wouldn't let me look at one with the battery in. IMO I was miss-sold, but they won't accept that.
