It's such a good idea for teenagers of today, I can't understand why no one is interested.

It's the adventures of a pair of dark-haired teenage twins. The girl is into under-age drinking and the brother is the sensible one.

Together they go through new experiences that would resonate with young people today.

My suggested titles are:

Tipsy and Tom meet the Magistrates.
Tipsy and Tom get an ASBO
Tipsy and Tom get Chlamydia
Red pills, Yellow Pills
The Little Lost Weekend
The New Baby

< sigh >

The rejection slip said something about being "too derivative."

Has anyone got any ideas on how I can get published, or have any other ideas for me?

What about the pamphlet market?

Tipsy and Tom go on benefits
Tom gets assessed by CSA

BadGardener · 17/03/2010 13:49

I think you need to try a different media, something wot the yoof of today is into innit. eg podcasts, or Wii games.

MrsVidic · 17/03/2010 13:57

Tipsy joins netmums...

GoodnightNobody · 17/03/2010 13:57

Give up the teenage market as a lost cause...the money's with the parents. Go for pre-school cohort. I hope to get an agent to pick up my pre-school titles:

*That's not my fruit shoot
*That's not my doggie it's my dog (aimed at educating nursery staff to use correct terminology)
*That's not my fuffy/ foo-fa etc- it's my vulva.

Pikelit · 17/03/2010 13:57

ASBOs are a tad last year.

Try "Tipsy & Tom and the Legal High" Followed by "Tipsy & Tom, RIP"

MrsVidic · 17/03/2010 13:58

tipsy and tom audition for x factor
tipsy and tom go shoplifting

BalloonSlayer · 17/03/2010 13:59

Do you think so BadGardener?

I do have an idea for a computer game. It's called Temple Raider and features a young woman Indiana Jones type as its main character.

I don't think that's been done before. Do you think I stand a chance?

Your fundamental mistake is that there are no vampires. If you correct this 'Tipsy and tom's fangtastic adventure' I am sure you will be offered a deal ;-)

MrsVidic · 17/03/2010 14:00

thats not my sma

BalloonSlayer · 17/03/2010 14:03

Oh gosh so many new ideas!

Vampires are certainly everywhere (in a cultural sense, she adds, nervously glancing at the mirror.)

Yes, I must get to work. Keep those ideas coming ladies!

BalloonSlayer · 17/03/2010 14:21

You have all stolen my talent and must be stopped
