To think that the egg heads and CJ in particular

are awful. I know I can turn the telly over, but I have a fascination with this show which won't let me. Even dd thinks they are twits, she told me that last night.

They are dreadful. I think the old woman - Daphne? - is the worst. She's soooooo patronising! But like you, I can't turn off...........

CJ and the grey haired guy with the "Chops" come across as very smug. i'm hooked too, though!

The first time I saw this programme I thought it was a spoof.

Every time I speak to my Granny she tells me about the time there was a challenge team on there called Densa. Dygeddit? Densa! Not Mensa... Densa! Oh how we laughed...

My DH watches this every day - mainly so he can have a good rant afterwards it seems to me! CJ his particular irritant, but he also dislikes Daphne for 'always pretending to have known the answer afterwards'. Smug, arrogant, and infuriating the lot of them, is his verdict.

He also insists they often get easier questions with more guessable answers than the challengers do.

It does seem to be addictive, I went to an annual dinner recently and between main course and pudding Eggheads was the entire topic of conversation on our table.

Thank goodness it's not just me, Daphne and her 'that will be .....' drives me demented, Kevin is a patronising twerp, Judith is too posh, one of them has something of the night about him and I'd like to kick CJ in the nuts.
There, that feels better.

And that bloody Chris - world mastermind champion - yes it has only been done once I think adn that was years back. Smug Twunt!

And Daphne - well I told someone how much I disliked her once and they siad they knew her and she was very nice - felt quite bad afterwards but I have had to stop watching it for fear of committing grannycide!

Kreecher, I'd help you kick cj in the nuts he really annoys the hell out of me and everytime he's on I want to throw something at the tv.
Daphne isn't much better, how did they get so many annoying people on the one tv show.

I only used to watch it so I could take out all my aggression on CJ. What an arrogant tosspot he is. Thick as a ditch when it comes to his own questions and then nodding knowingly at someone else's. Gobshite.

He is infuriating, a couple of weeks ago he raised his (annoyingly well groomed) eyebrow and said that his surname De Mooi meant the lovely face in Dutch. He is a twunt of the highest order.
I am not sure how they got so many annoying people together, I imagine their works do is a barrel of laughs with each one trying to outdo the other in the learning lists dept. I heard Daphne saying that they do sit and learn facts based on lists.

The thing is that I ,being old ,saw Daphne,Judith etc win their quizzes originally-Daphne is the cleverest of the lot.I do think the Eggheads get the easiest questions though-its a fix.

Egg Heads questions are easier, they try to disguise this by adding a load of extraneous information.

'what's the capital of France?'

'Er..er... it's Paris actually, which of course if you say it backwards is Sirap, also an anagram of praise without the 'e' '

CJ also looks quizzical if he gets one wrong, (which happens quite frequently) as if, he knows best.

I'd like to go on it as a team that do eggheads impressions, I can do a mean Daphne, and DS a scarily accurate Chris. Any CJ's out there?

CJ's sarcasm cracks me up, he's got his head well and truly jammed up his own backside. Daphnes' false teeth lisp irritates me. Judith looks like she's posh but mucky. As for Barry, I would never ever leave my kids with him, he's just too creepy.
That said I watch it every day LOL
