to think there is something very wrong with the people who complained

about the ( totally non-explicit) sexual content of This Morning?

I thought it was sensibly done, apart from the fact that the couples demonstrating sex postions had to remain static.

Some of the complaints were worries about children seeing it! Children should absolutely see ( and be actively taught about ) information regarding healthy and happy sex lives, why is talking about orgasms on morning TV shocking to some people?

Because they're not getting any!

I didn't watch it but don't agree with your comment that children should absolutely see. I wouldn't want my young children who are yet to learn the how/when/why to see what you are describing. However, everyone does have the option of turning the channel over or better still turning the tv off.

And children should have been at school anyway.

Malificence · 15/03/2010 22:40

Mumutd, presumably your children have seen you and you husband cuddling in bed?

That's all it amounted to really, couples of varying ages, wearing pyjamas, lying/sitting in bed, nothing remotely "dodgy".

I suspect some complaints may have been because the first couple were quite elderly and demonstrating spooning.
When Tracey Cox commented about the man holding the woman's bottom , DH looked up from Farmville and said "omg, are they on about OAP anal?"

Malificence, in that case then I can't see the issue but it depends on what the children can hear as well as see on the tv. I don't think my younger children (because older ones were at school) need to hear about sexual positions and orgasms etc etc.

However, I didn't see the piece so can only go by what I have read on here. I still stand by my comment about having the option of turning the tv off/over though, because This Morning does have warnings of what is coming up in the show so you can decide whether it is appropriate to have it on when you have your children in the room with you.

i don't think children, or anyone of any age, should be subjected to morning television.
