Lelli Fucking Kelly shoes.

AIBU in wanting to not EVER buy my DD these shoes simply because of their marketing? (I actually really like the shoes and wouldn't say no to a pair for me. )

We have had a long chat this morning and we have established that thus far (she is 6) she is still wise enough to know that clothes and stuff matter far less than kindness, or being a good friend. Long may her wisdom continue, but I'm guessing that being "popular" and having "stuff" will get more important as time goes on.

But the shrieky little harridans in the ad make me want to poke them with spoons. I think we might have to go back to Only CBBBC.

In all my cynical honesty, I genuinely believe that you had an earnest conversation with your daughter about how you think the marketing of the shoes isn't good.

But what she heard was "No. No sparkley shoes. I think sparkley shoes that are truly beautiful and will be the admiration of your peers are something you can't handle."

LOL, I know, I could see it in her little face. Her birthday is in October, she'll probably get some and another little piece of my soul will shrivel up and die. Ha. Ha.
