to chuck/lose the 'sticker club' chain letter

Just got a letter saying "the sticker club' asking to copy & pass on the letter to 6 friends with our child and senders child's name/address, for which they will then receive 36 packets of stickers within 2 weeks! Oh, and we send a pack of stickers to one child.

Not keen on any type of chain mail/emails (particularly the ones that say you'll get 60 days bad luck, cursed by a witch bla bla) TBH but this one made me a bit errruggghh... "PS to the parent - please take the time for this cute project. It is worth seeing the smile on your child's face when they open up the mail" and " If you cannot do this within 6 days, could you please let my Mum know so that it is fair to those who have participated".

DC's got lots of stickers, and not sure he needs 36 more sets, already been unsticking peppa pig ones from the TV / babys face etc of late.

So, am I being a right old misog/bad parent if I accidently 'lose' the letter and 'forget' to tell the parent who sent it I am not wanting to cannot be arsed to participate?

YANBU. Chuck it quickly before the children see it. Who has time for this?

claricebeansmum · 11/03/2010 18:02

Bin it and forget it.

YANBU I hate chain letters and they go straight in the bin. I feel people should actually ask you if you want to join in. The same goes for chain e-mails whilst I am giving my opinion!!!

YANBU. I hate chain letters, chain emails and all that crap whether sinister or benign. Those at the bottom of the pyramid never get anything. All pyramids fail within a very short period of time.

Burn the stickers I say! They are being sent out by a sinister new quasi religious cult > anyway do not be taken in by them they are masqquerading as Creative Crafters on a subversive Home Shopping Channel known as Ideal World, the stickers are just the beginning! They have big plans for world domination and intend to fight us using just stencils and embossing tools and that pretty foil paper stuff!
