Ive recently sold my daughters cabin bed, wardrobe and shelving unit, all in good but used condition. Although i stated paypal only the buyer emailed me after winning to say theyd pay cash, they turned up in a small people carrier to collect...how on earth would they fit it in,moaned about having to get a van then have put feedback saying poor description!! wtf i dont know why but its irritated me so much, i wish i had just given it to our local furniture mine. sorry moan over.

yanbu
did you include all the measurements?
at least you got your cash

BooyhooNOTboohoooORbooyou · 10/03/2010 19:16

what did they think was poor about the description?

worldgonemad72 · 10/03/2010 19:16

Not exact measurements, i stated a single size cabin bed, full size single wardrobe and the same size shelving unit. I need to get a life lol

also, yanbu.

they should have said to you when they came to collect that they werent happy and given you a chance to rectify any problems.

worldgonemad72 · 10/03/2010 19:17

I dont know, they didn't ask any questions before the listing ended either.

YANBU. God knows what they expected.

BooyhooNOTboohoooORbooyou · 10/03/2010 19:20

i would be pissed if i was you, has this affected your feedback rating?

some people really do look for problems when there are none. they just arent happy unless they are complaining.

cakewench · 10/03/2010 19:21

YANBU. Yes, you should post dimensions of furniture (imo), however they should have been smart enough to ask for them! And from your description, it would have been reasonable to expect that it was enough furniture to warrant a larger vehicle, or multiple trips.

Goodadvice1980 · 10/03/2010 19:23

YANBU.

Just follow up their feedback with a reply stating that they hadn't contacted you prior to the auction ending and it was their choice to collect.

Unfortuately most ebay experiences seem to attract the TSFE crowd now (too stupid for ebay!)

worldgonemad72 · 10/03/2010 19:24

No it hasn't affected my rating, but its the top feedback description on my list now, i dont sell many things, so i always make sure everything is immaculate and in good condition. The only reason i sold it was because my daughter wants a more 'grown up' bedroom.

Leave a response aking what size they expected a single bed & wardrobe to be?? Dolls house size???

fiveisanawfullybignumber · 10/03/2010 19:38

asking, sorry.

BooyhooNOTboohoooORbooyou · 10/03/2010 19:49

yes i agree, you need to respond to the feedback saying that the description was accurate and that you would have been happy to provide dimensions if you had been asked prior to auction ending. dont be cheeky in your response though. i find that puts me off using a buyer if i see they have been rude or cheeky in their feedback responses.

MrsC2010 · 10/03/2010 20:03

Yes, either post a polite response to their feedback or ask for eBay to remove it which they can do in some circs I think.

worldgonemad72 · 10/03/2010 21:00

Thanks for the replies everyone, Going to leave feedback tomoz when hopefully my annoyance will have calmed down.
