To be sad that my dd now 3 has had a cold on each birthday

I am a bit as my dd has had a cold or been unwell on every birthday and has never really enjoed her birthdays properly. She is 3 today and is in bed at the moment not feeling too well. We had a family party for her yesterday and she had to sleep for most of it and did not really enjoy it or the lovely merry go round cake that her godmother mad.

These are the birthdays she won't really remember so I think you shouldn't lose sleep over it!

Oh pigletmania I feel for you. My ds (3.5) has been unwell every Christmas day bar one and last year on his birthday he woke up with chickenpox (which he then passed onto me for my birthday!). I think we feel bad about it more than our dc. You could just have a really special day out or treat day for her when she's better. Poor wee soul I hope she feels better soon x
