DH decided to take the children bowling this morning which was fine with me as I wanted to get some stuff done. They came home a few hours later very cagey about where they went for lunch. We are on a budget at the moment so I was concerned about how much they spent but DH knows this.As far as I knew they were bowling and then coming home...turns out they went to a buffet lunch at my favourite place where we go occasionally and only ever for takeaways if we can afford it.We have never actually sat down in this place before but had though one day we might..Am I being unreasonable to be mad that they went right past our house and didnt even call in or pick up the phone to ask me if I would like to join them???

That does sound a bit off. Did they say why they didn't call in to ask you if you'd like to come? Did they think they were doing a good thing by leaving you for longer to get on with your things in peace?

GypsyMoth · 06/03/2010 19:19

they prob thought you'd be enjoying your time off without them!!

but yanbu...they could have brought back some take out for you at least!!

FairyCakeBump · 06/03/2010 19:25

YANBU - I'd be fuming.

scottishmummy · 06/03/2010 19:27

paulaplumpbottom · 06/03/2010 19:28

Maybe he thought you were enjoying your me time. Make him promise to take you some time soon.

MayorNaze · 06/03/2010 19:31

i would be raging and very upset actually

BlueBumedFly · 06/03/2010 19:31

I'd be miffed.

cornflakesforlunch · 06/03/2010 19:36

You are all right, they said I made it clear I didnt want to come, but that was to bowling, not lunch and as my name suggests,I had cornflakes for lunch!Am considering a large phone order and not sharing.Dessert included.
