my son is 14, and has many severe food allergies, and i have just made the last payment for his trip to france, with his school for a week.
AIBU
in worrying too much?

AIBU to think it will be good for him to be thrown in at the deep end and just cope?

AIBU to expect the school to be able to help make food arrangements for him?

AIBU to expect him to come home hale and hearty ?

AIBU to think i might loose my mind, stress wise by the time he goes in june?

AIBU to perhaps risk his life in this way?

Fair enough to worry, but he is 14, and I guess mature enough to look after himself and to understand the risks involved. However YANBU to expect some support from the school to look out for him.

f he has severe food allergies that put him at risk, you should ask to see their risk assessment for the trip, and ensure that he is specifically catered for.
My son went on a three day trip, and the school wrote a different, personalised risk assessment for him and asked me for input before the trip to ensure it was as effective as possible.
It was, and they actively implemented everything on it.
Had they not done that, the consequences would have been drastic for all involved, and I'd probably had a 700 mile round trip.
