AIBU not to reward my son for doing well in the concert? He was really sad for about twenty minutes after the show because he said he thought I might have given him something for doing well.
I said you don't play piano for reward, you do it for love (and he does love it) and I told him I didn't really want him playing in order to get a present, but to get better at something he enjoys for it's own sake. he was really cute and tried to be mature and understand, but i could tell he was disappointed, and it's taken the shine off the lovely evening.
