I dont think its right chatting to adults - ok they are friends and family but its not exactly child content is it...

My 10 year old DD wants to go on FB. I've said NO. It's too young.

ask him sneakily for his password and cut off his page yourself if the parents wont do it. What the hell are they thinking? It is for adults or at least older teens. Do they let him surf the net ad infinitum.? Look there is a serious issue with this I have forever etched in my memory the day in 1996 that my ds got her shiny new broadband connection and my neice was showing me how it worked I turned my back as they were looking up spice girl sites YAWN and Iheard my gorgeous niece say in her sweet little voice to her db "Joe what's fist fucking?"She was 5.

Actually, you have to be 13+ to join facebook as far as i know. I have two cousins and one was 13 and the other was 11. They both joined facebook and someone reported that the younger one had joined and facebook removed his profile but te 13 YO kept his.

7 is plain ridiculous.
