To be saddened by the Death of the TV presenter Christian Digby

I was really shocked and saddened to read about the death of Christian Digby. I used to love watching him on To Buy or Not To Buy, and loved his happy cheerful and well mannered personality. He will be sadly missed.

I heard that he died during a sex game which one is nearly asphixiated. Its really sad that people play with their own lives like this

Well when you are perfect than you you can criticise. My goodness me some people

No my intention was not to start a debate on why he died but just to say that i was sad that he died fgs, sorry i should not have put that bit in.

It's nothing to do with perfection.

Somebody's son has died. It's a day later. Little is known and actually, little is relevant apart from the fact that a young, well-liked man has died young.

This thread is in bad taste. Just accept that, have it deleted and move on.

If you want to talk about sex acts and risk then do so, but don't do it here on AIBU under the horrible shadow of a man's premature death.

displayuntilbestbefore · 02/03/2010 18:05

This is posted in AIBU - even the disclaimer on the MN site warns that some people may not agree with your opinion if you post in AIBU.

MNers reserve the right to find talk of sex games gone wrong distasteful when a young person has just died and there is no formal explanation of death.

sasamaxx · 02/03/2010 19:05

She clearly didn't mean to offend.
People are overreacting I feel - no one has said anything insulting about Kristian

Tiredmumno1 · 02/03/2010 21:27

No one should speculate about how he died, it isnt anything to do with any of us. Bless him, i thought kristian was fab, seemed so nice, i loved getting ideas from him. Such a shame and awful loss of a young human life. We'll miss ya kristian rip. Although on a lighter note i hope he goes and haunts dom a bit , i always used to hope they would pick kristians house. Sorry dom lol

WorzselMummage · 02/03/2010 21:29

He was lovely.

How he died doesnt really matter though does it ?

pigletmania · 02/03/2010 21:33

I did not mean to offend that was not my intention at all, I really liked Kristian he was such a lovely presenter, To Buy or Not to Buy wont be the same without him. I posted it on AIBU as i cannot find the news part it is not coming up for me or i do not know how to access it, so did not know where else to post it as i just wanted to say how shocked i was.

Don't let it bother you piglet - sometimes people are just looking for a reason to take offence and won't give an inch.
OK prob AIBU wasn't the best choice

Baggy · 03/03/2010 00:20

Sadly however worthwhile or talented the individual - as Christian was, now the likely cause of his death is in the public domain, that undignified image will be forever yoked with all subsequent references to him.

MarsLady · 03/03/2010 00:23

I don't think you're being unreasonable. It's sad when someone dies.

hobbgoblin · 03/03/2010 00:27

Fgs it would be great to die shagging surely? I don't think he'd think it sad to play like this - he probably, like, enjoyed it maybe (if this indeed happened)??? Just cos you wouldn't.

ILIVEONBENEFITS · 03/03/2010 00:52

I think it's really sad that even though so many celebrities seem to die from this that the police always have to anounce the death as "unexplained" or "reported by an unidentified rentboy prostitute person.
TBH I preferred it when my celebrities were killed by the previous holder of the number one spot for celebrity killing...our old friend Cancer ( number two spot still held by deranged stalkers though ).

There's nothing wrong with your post, pigletmania. Dont worry about it.

wannaBe · 03/03/2010 08:11

Sadly when someone in the public eye dies in "unexplained circumstances" there is usually a story that comes out, drugs/suicide/sex game gone wrong, and sadly there's invariably a journalist waiting to witness the autopsy/signing of the death certificate so they can post about the cause in intimate detail.

It's always sad when someone dies. But...

I am baffled over some of the uses for the ibu board.

Why would someone want to say "ibu to be sad that they're dead" what do you expect people to say? yabu?

This is very true
He will prob now have notoriety for all the wrong reasons...

Of course there isn't.

WOW, there are some people out for a ding dong, aren't there?!

I'm sad about KD's death. I don't think the OP meant to offend anyone.
