to expect prospective parents to ring and cancel if they can't be bothered to keep their appointment?

I am a childminder, I had a call from a prospective parent on saturday who arranged to come and see me this morning.
I don't work on Tuesdays and had plans for today which I cancelled to accomodate her. She has not turned up, hasn't contacted me in any shape or form. This happens so many times. Surely it is common deceny to ring and cancel if you can't make it?

YANBU - she has no courtesy.
(Get out clause - unless she rings later and explains she had a real emergency)
Have you called her? Maybe she forgot...

thats so rude, well if she did suddenly turn up without a decent explanation you might not take her child on as she clearly has no manners.
