She should be going to hospital surely? Rather than complaining.

ilovemydogandmrobama · 01/03/2010 18:53

Just posted a long response, then realized the water was from the floor, and not your DD!

nickytwotimes · 01/03/2010 19:00

What SHiny said.

It's a loo - there is a good chance it'll be wet.

No point whining - do something about it.

kinnies · 01/03/2010 19:16

Is she ok?

And I do think there should have been a sign.

scottishmummy · 01/03/2010 19:19

is she ok?has she gone to hospital?what a shame

Lulumaam · 01/03/2010 19:20

she shold go and be checked, and you should definitely complain on her behalf

tethersend · 01/03/2010 19:21

Of course there should have been a sign.

A wet floor is a hazard, pregnant or not. My bathroom floor isn't wet. She has every right to complain.

DarrellRivers · 01/03/2010 19:21

It's a toilet, not a swimming pool changing room
Not unreasonable to expect a dry floor
Rotten thing to happen

tethersend · 01/03/2010 19:21

Whining?

mii · 01/03/2010 19:23

even if they check the loos every 10 mins there is obv a chance that in between that time the floor could get wet and somebody could fall over

they can't employ people to stand in the bathroom 24/7 in case some water gets spilled

hope your DD is ok

nickytwotimes · 01/03/2010 19:24

Of course it is a roteen thing to happen. That goes without saying. But surely making a complaint is fairly low on the list of priorites atm, no?

nickytwotimes · 01/03/2010 19:24

Rotten, even.

CloudDragon · 01/03/2010 19:25

Phone the midwives.

And once all is OK worry about the company.

scottishmummy · 01/03/2010 19:26

snipy responses are mean."What shiny said" lol are you her bitch or do you always brown nose

pg woman fell over, probably got nasty fright.not deserving of an arsey response

leothelioness · 01/03/2010 19:28

She needs to get checked out complaining is secondary at the moment.

thehillsarealive · 01/03/2010 19:30

hope your DD is ok OP. Make sure she gets checked out at the hospital.

Personally I HATE wet loo floors and would mention to management - there needs to be a sign up and no amount of 'its a toilet' justifies it being like a swimming pool.

That is an elf n safety matter!

nickytwotimes · 01/03/2010 19:31

The post is not from the pg woman - it is from her mother.

'What x said' is a response frequently used on here. I haven't a clue who Shiny actually is.

As I said, why the rush to complain? Surely the priority is the wellbeing of the woman who fell?

tethersend · 01/03/2010 19:38

"even if they check the loos every 10 mins there is obv a chance that in between that time the floor could get wet and somebody could fall over

they can't employ people to stand in the bathroom 24/7 in case some water gets spilled"

If they have identified that the floor gets wet (a hazard), then a sign needs to be up.

For the love of God, has no-one seen the Claims Direct adverts?

Oh, and what sm said.

scottishmummy · 01/03/2010 19:38

the op title is self explanatory.what isnt so clear is why a pg woman falling over is deemed

complaining
whining

tethersend · 01/03/2010 19:39

Why should making a complaint be a low priority?

Surely you wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else?

tethersend · 01/03/2010 19:41

'No point whining?

Errr... how about in order to stop someone else falling?

Unbelievable.

ilovesprouts · 01/03/2010 19:42

hi dd is ok just got a nasty shock ,shes phoned off duty mw and shes had a talk to her etc and said if you get any pain go to epu, asap but dd is ok thanks ,on her way home now and the first aider checked her over too !!

OP posts:
KimiGaveUpStarbucks4Lent · 01/03/2010 19:43

I hope your DD is ok, she should get checked out, and yes a complaint should be made as it is a health and safety issue.

Lulumaam · 01/03/2010 19:44

agree with Scottishmummy

some nasty replies and attitudes here

it is not whining to complain about a floor being so wet, that you fall

there should be a sign

the toilets should be checked and as soon as an issue arises, it should be sorted or made safe or the toilets closed

i've fallen when pregnant and ended up bleeding and being admitted to AN ward

it can be really serious

am really surprised at some of the responses

mii · 01/03/2010 19:50

there should be a sign, saying what?

'this floor could get wet'

most people know that don't they?

should they also have a 'this is a hot tap, the water might be hot' sign too?

where does common sense come into it and the OP doesn't say anything about them not sorting it afterwards or moping it up
