so - you are told by a parking attendant that you have a flat, but when you check it looks fine, and it drives fine, so you drive home (10 mins) and get DH to look at it.
When he does - he goes crazy - how could you drive on it? you could all have been killed!
now we'll have to replace the whole thing, but if you'd done something about it then you could have saved the tyre... and so on, rant rant

so I need a sanity check - I really thought it was ok, I clearly would not have driven a car with 2 of my kids in that i thought was not safe - he IS being unreasonable, right?

he is yes
he may be feeling guilty that he hasn't been checking the car regularly and has displaced anger or he may just be having a knobby day

worldgonemad72 · 01/03/2010 08:32

It just depends, was it flat when you got home?

kinnies · 01/03/2010 09:15

Sounds like it scared him to think of you driving an unsafe car.
Not your falt as you did check, but I can see his point.

YANBU to be put out by a full scale rant, but then neither is he BU to get upset. I agree that he may have felt really scared by the idea of you driving with the kids in a car that wasn't safe and, I suppose from his point of view, you'd been warned by the parking attendant. Personally, this is a battle I wouldn't fight.
