To only want to dress my 7 week old baby in

Babygro's???
Tis my first child and I'm not surrounded by other mothers it just seems so uncomfortable to put a tiny baby in pinafores etc when she could be all snuggly in a babygro. I change her inthe morning and after her bath etc so she's not in the same one she sleeps in. However following the story of Cardiff mums shopping in fresh pyjamas I wondered if this was the baby equivalent, come and let me know.
I do take her out in them too under warm jackets and sleep suits etc.

Yanbu at all. Babygros and cardis all the way! I only started putting dd in comfy trousers and tops when she was 4 months old. All the stupid uncomfortable tiny outfits she got were a total waste of money.

YANBU

I kept my son in babygros until he was at least six months old, pretty much all the time. Love them!

My daughter only wore 'proper' clothes on special occasions for most of her first six months. Proper clothes can look daft on newborns, in any case.

I love babygrows on babies. DS was always in them, as all photos of his early days prove. Only reason I dress DD religiously every day, is because she has harness and it shows with baby grows and I can cover it with dresses and more comfortable to hold her with clothing over it, plus - out of sight out of mind.

Babygrows are not just for night time imo. I hate to see babies in clothes that 'squash' their middles. I always make sure tights are comfy to avoid them digging in.

Another vote for babygrows and cardigans/jumpers - comfortable and practical and they look so cute!

Yay so happy to see I'm not alone, we're just back after a trip to town in vest babygro snowsuit hat and mittens (her not me! Although there was a pic of robbie Williams on a plane in an adult babygro from primark recently- or did I imagine that during a late night feed??!)
