to keep moaning at dh about leaving clothes all over the front room/lounge?

we have a small modern house, downstairs you enter straight into the lounge which is open plan through to the kitchen and has stairs going up from too...

Dh has a bloody awful habit of coming in and taking off his trousers and dumping them on the floor, at some point he'll also take off his socks, roll into a ball and leave them on floor... He will akso occasionally take off tshirt and this can end up anywhere including in dds travel cot which is where i keep her toys, or under the computer desk!

He moans at me because i only get a chance to look through the newspapers once a week but i keep these in a neat pile beside the sofa on a shelf.

He also moans at my ds (10) his dsd, about his messy room...

And yet if i moan about the clothes (i even bought a laundry basket for kitchen for him to use!) he says i'm nagging and putting him in a bad mood! Arghhhhh....

Aibu to expect him not to act like a student at 39? (btw, i'm a phd student and should be the messy one! Lol)

YANBU my DH is a messy bugger as well. I collect his mucky clothes, post and discarded envelopes put them all in carrier bags and dump them in the bottom of his wardrobe to fester. If he runs out of clean stuff, his problem!

Does he wander around the house semi naked following this striptease? Does he do it to music? Doesn't he feel the cold of the British winter? You are married to a very strange man

In all seriousness, I'm sorry but your husband sounds like a bit of a wanker, all things considered. Likes to have things all his own way, doesn't he?

if he is moaning so much about you child being messy, point it out that maybe he wouldn't be if he had a better role model whos own standards inlcuded not stripping off downstairs and leaving dirty clothes everywear!

lazy twat TBH! there is no need for it when theres a laundry basket.

I would be letting him do his own washing from now on.

I'd leave them all where he drops them and see how long it takes for him to pick them up/run out of clean stuff.

Of course, you can't live with this mess so you'll need plenty of shopping trips/meals with friends/nights out to get you out of the way while he festers in his own filth

Or, invite your Mum round at a time you know he'll have stripped and watch his embarrassment when she turns up and he's on the computer in his boxers
