AIBU to go to bed early on dh's birthday?

I did my best to make it a special day.

He's had a birthday shag (with me, obv!)

We went out for tea at his favourite eatery

I made him lemon drizzle cake (from the mn recipe of the week - yum yum!)

I bought and wrapped him presents from me and dd

I blew up balloons

I taught 18mo dd to say 'happy birthday daddy'

But I was up with teething dd til 3am last night, I feel totally knackered now and I am working tomorrow so I have to be up and organised even earlier than usual. I want to go to bed now! But it's not even 10pm. AIBU to leave him to spend the rest of his birthday by himself?

Imo it is more unreasonable that you are on here tbh.

what onepiece said, go to bed now - and take him with you!

MrsSawdust · 23/02/2010 21:50

Fair point but he's watching some shite on the tv and I'm mumsnetting on my iPhone.

YANBU, the earlier the better IMO>

you already gave him a b/day shag?

MrsSawdust · 23/02/2010 22:03

He's actually had 2 shags in the last 24hrs. No wonder I'm exhausted!
