DS1 has nothing to do with any of his fathers family or him EXCEPT his uncle in USA.
He has 2 cousins he has never met, i suppose in a way they are my neice and nephew.

The last 2 days i have been talking to them via facebook which has been lovely!!

DP says its silly they could write etc, but i think its kinda sweet that they and DS1 can keep in touch this way.

TLE, I completely agree with you.

Having emigrated nearly two years ago from the UK to Australia I rely on FB so much to keep in touch with friends and family back there.

Of course we could email or write but FB just makes it so much easier.

It's the mundane stuff that people write that I LOVE (and I'm living the life of my childless friends through their FB posts ).

I am loving talking to them. they are only 7 but are so sweet
