About an hours bus ride into the city.

Would be buying anything for the sake of it clothes.

My eldest DD is in year 8 at boarding school. They are allowed in to town in groups of 3 from age 11 (ie Yr 7) onwards. It took me a bit of getting used to but she is supervised every minute at school and needs a bit of independence. It's about a 25 minute walk each way for them and they have a 4pm curfew so are never out for long.
