To Think That Mothercare Should

change their stock over before they open or after they have closed, not during the day?

All, and I mean all, of the aisles were blocked with either boxes or piles of merchandise being moved or trolleys. I would think Mothercare would be the one store I should be able to get my pram through without a struggle.

And I must have very bad luck because this happens all the time with my Mothercare. Including the time I turned around and left before even looking because what I wanted was on the first floor and the lift was full of boxes.

Well, YABU to expect the staff to work either extremely early, or late, in a shop that already has long opening hours (our Mothercare is open until at least 8pm).

But YANBU to expect to be able to get into the shop and actually buy stuff without being face by a wall of boxes and other packaging wherever you look. It should be possible to restock things without turning the store into an obstacle course for customers. Have you written to complain to the shop manager or head office?

No I have not written but I did speak to the manager face to face about the blocked lift that day. She didn't even apologize just sort of shrugged her shoulders.

And they work in shifts, I would think, so some people could come in early or stay late. I am sure I am not the only person who comes in and immediately leaves without buying anything because they can't get their pram through the aisles.

Even when they aren't blocked they are very narrow. Its a very small store on our High Street, not one of those huge ones I hear exist.

I completely agree with you Tee-- I live a different area to you and our Mothercare is exactly the same!! we also have the ELC in there too- and to try and get a big pram and 2 other kids around the ailse is an absolute nightmare!!

Most other shops manage to restock without blocking pathways and without causing hazards!! So why can't they xx

Yep I agree, always have this complaint about mothercare, impossible to get round with a pushchair. I won't attempt to go in there one I've got a double buggy.

Most Mothercare stores I've been in still expect babies to eat in the toilets. They're hardly enlightened.

My local two storey Mothercare doesn't even have a lift!

Isn't that against the disability regulations? Forget prams, what about wheelchairs?!
