To think that the childrens food in Debenhams is crap?

Either an Anna Carmel meal (packed with sugar), a sandwich box or a hot meal where the potatoes are deep fried and the only drink availiable is a fruit shoot. Why's it so bloomin hard to get good food for our children in a cafe still??

I was shocked at his, deep fried chicken in bread crumbs (was a bit hard) and deep fried potatoes that he couldn't eat. The only choice for a childs drink was an orange fruit shoot or the purple fruit shoot.

last time i took my two they had chicken goujons, looked decent and tasted nice, and mash with tons of steamed veg. drinks at ours does include those blooming fruit shoots causing a huge toddler tantrum, but they have water or an innocent smoothie. The cold boxes are really good too, not sure how common it is but ours has a roll, wholemeal or white, organix buscuit things, quavers, yogurt and fruit, you take the roll to the sandwich counter and can have anything on offer in it!

like i said before its very new so in a year they might have lost there enthusiasm and be awful!

my main reason for always ending up there is the 'family' bathroom and the microwave which was a huge relief to find after months of no where heating baby food due to blooming health and safety when dd was on my homemade mush! oh and bibs/bowls reclined highchairs etc all on offer.

Ours used to do a great pick n mix lunchbox thing that DS used to love. Had a really good selection to pick from, but now the lunchboxes come ready packed and you can choose between dairylea on brown with quavers, organix biscuits, drink and piece of fruit and dairylea on white with the same! The choice astounds me! I still go purely because of the excellent bottle/baby food warming section. Its just so much more of a ballache if you have to plead with someone for hot water anywhere else!

And Sainsbury's Cafes too.

Vile product selection of packaged crap and greasy microwave heated stodge in a sterile 70's environment with harsh overhead heachache inducing lighting.

Bad decision to ditch the Starbucks. Makes me go to Tesco/Costa.

I deserve a decent coffee after shopping with two children!
