was doing 'performing' at the Brits? What a load of rubbish - I actually like the woman and feel for her with all the c... she is going through with her h - Just DUMP him! But, she can't even lip synch in time.

i have never ever understood what anyone sees in her "talent". yes she is pretty, but she doesnt much resemble the girl who auditioned for xtrapopfactor or whatever the hell it was does she? thats what a few million does for you i guess..but she has NO talent whatsoever.

Slartybartfast · 16/02/2010 23:10

but if he really did send those texts, or whatever it was, you would have thought she shoudl have cancelled her appearance. be too distraught?

tegan · 17/02/2010 04:29

fair plsy she was shit. she mimed badly and why sing a song about fighting for love when her h is shagging anything that moves, she would of been better respected if she bowed out gracefully

SilveryMoon · 17/02/2010 07:01

I think it's a bit of a joke that she mimes and doesn't perform live, I mean, I didn't watch popstars or whatever it was, but surely she can actually sing or she wouldn't have won a place in the group?
But, I will say, good on her for carrying on and getting up there. It must be quite hard to show your face publicly after all the stories in the press, true or exagerated.

I think she should just ditch him though. He is far beneath her, she doesn't need his fame or publicity anymore, she can do much better and like the rest of us, deserves to be adored and treated with nothing but love and respect.
He is a dirty dog.

ssd · 17/02/2010 08:06

her miming was awful, how embarrassing

StealthPolarBear · 17/02/2010 08:23

"why sing a song about fighting for love when her h is shagging anything that moves"

indeed. and why sing a song about fighting for love when she's more than happy to punch someone for real?

crumpet · 17/02/2010 08:59

Possibly becasue the song has made her a lot of money and was v popular, possibly to stick 2 fingers up at Ashley, possibly because her records have made her enough money for her to be happy to "perform" rather than sing live and not give a stuff what anyone thinks.

Lots of reasons really.

AccioPinotGrigio · 17/02/2010 09:10

Good on her for getting up and performing in the face of all her personal crap.

Not my cup of tea musically though and I did think the extravagant production behind her performance was disproportionate to the weedy little pop songs. A classic case of "you can't polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter".

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2010 09:15

i agree its good she got up and performed after what is happeneing in her personal ife

saying that, why mime, was the same on x factor, a live singing show, yet she and robbie mimed

StealthPolarBear · 17/02/2010 09:36

PinotGrigio, I love that saying and am going to use it as soon as i can, thak you

kitcat1977 · 17/02/2010 10:07

Did she really mime on X-Factor? I thought it was so appalling that it must have been live. Last night I switched over to the ad break

Florence and Dizzee on the other hand - now they were awesome!

lucykate · 17/02/2010 10:10

you need to visit this thread all is not what it seems in cole-land!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2010 10:17

kitkat, sure she mimed aas her lips were in synck with the words

it must be hard to be with someone and they are unfaithful/send texts etc and the WHOLE world knows about it

think how many times it must happen to normal relationships and how many forgive and continue with their lives

i never thought vernon would though

sure simon would like too!!

Slartybartfast · 17/02/2010 11:07

didnt she sing Wag Wag Wag for your life?

it sounded like it

houseworkhater · 17/02/2010 11:17

I think she did the right thing in "singing" on the Brits. Personally I don't think anyone should be allowed to mime, but it has always gone off.

I am sick of her and all the other anorexic plastic looking dimwits who flood our tv screens. For God's sake develop some self respect and dump the guy.

Cyb · 17/02/2010 11:19

Thats what it was all about though, wasn't it, keeping Cheryl as 'Queen of our hearts'. If she had pulled out brand Cheryl would have been damaged.

BUT watching Alicia Keys belt out those top notes puts all our UK acts to shame.

I don't want to watch a dance 'performance' I want to hear someone who can sing

kitcat1977 · 17/02/2010 13:19

Florence sang, beltingly too!

Cyb · 17/02/2010 14:46

YES OK i'LL GIVE YOU THAT ONE [GRIN]

sorry, I'm shouting
