Bless him he's just going through the motions.

Half arsed performance of years old tunes, he can barely sing.

He once was a fucking Legend!

talkign about getting old, i thought robbie was far too young for a life time achievement award [puzzled]

but that could be down to my age

DuelingFanjo · 16/02/2010 23:25

he's never been a legend has he, he's just a second rate cabaret singer, seriously.

puffling · 16/02/2010 23:27

twatberto

Kitkatqueen · 16/02/2010 23:27

I'm watching it now, Theres something missing from him, he has always reminded me of a friend of mine, same strut, cheeky grin iykwim. From what i've just seen its like theres more going on than the performance - I think he's going to self destruct.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:28

outstanding

OP posts:
Kitkatqueen · 16/02/2010 23:30

Yep in comparison he's struggling tonight.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:30

sad and desperate

It's the over enthusiasm of engaging with the audience, it seems so false and almost pleading

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:33

When he played Glstonbury I almost fainted..to be fair I was very drunk and we were jammed in the crowd.

I think he's always looked desperate in a "Please like me, please" kind of way. Don't think he seemed different tonight especially. Still wish he'd just come out though

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:41

and at electric proms

He was very very uneasy then became amazing.

blimey I seem like an uber fan, just have happened to see him loads.

MillyR · 16/02/2010 23:42

He has built an entire career out of appearing desperate, crazed and vulnerable so as to appeal to women's maternal instincts. You lot are just being sucked in by the emotionporn of it.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:42

No way is he Gay...

James Morrison on the other hand....

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 16/02/2010 23:45

He's always looked desperate. That cheeky little boy lost look has been carefully cultivated to cover his lack of talent.

MillyR · 16/02/2010 23:47

I've always liked the desperation.

Lemsip07 · 16/02/2010 23:51

He showed emotion from start to finish
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!

Molesworth · 16/02/2010 23:51

Good point Milly, but in the old days one could believe there were interesting hidden depths, a tortured soul or whatever. Whereas now it has become clear that he's just a not-very-bright nutjob, not helped by the substance abuse and spending too long in California, no doubt.

Lemsip07 · 16/02/2010 23:52

He was near in tears when he lifted the award

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:52

oooh

I'd forgotten this, when he cocks up Ollies probably dream of a lifetime performance on the x factor. From about 1 miute in..

Though Ollie probably cocked it up himself by singing 'ham loving angels instead'

OP posts:
TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:53

Hope it was nice ham at least...

OP posts:
Lemsip07 · 16/02/2010 23:54

i've watched his performance over and over again and loved it.
He's an entertainer, he's got the crowd going- he's still amazing!!!!!!!!!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/02/2010 23:55

He was in near tears for the first half hour of electric proms. Must be odd going back to being a performer after such a long break.

OP posts:
Heracles · 17/02/2010 00:03

You've nothing to lose when you've never had it...

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2010 00:07

Never had what?

OP posts:
Lemsip07 · 17/02/2010 00:10

He ownedthe stage!!
I love how he can just put on such a fantastic showstopping performance without any miming, any silly choreography, endless backing dancers, OTT special effects - he is a one off as far as pop stars these days go which is why he has been so hugely successful, and as it has been said many times before he just rips up the stage with his brilliant stage ability and charisma in the same way Freddy Mercury did

Robbie ur AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

jaquelinehyde · 17/02/2010 00:12

I think he was amazing, the best performance of the night without a doubt!!

I would still sell my children to watch him live!
