Told the DDs (nearly 12 and 13) that I'd be palming them off on someone else for sunday night so DH and I can have a nice evening together.

DD2: 'I hope you'll use a condom if you are having some bed action'

Me: 'Being infertile I don't need condoms, also I'm too tired for that sort of thing'

DD1: 'you still need a condom to stop you getting STIs'

Me: 'Where would either dad or me got an STI from?'

DD1: 'Well chlamydia and AIDS don't have symptoms so you might have had them for ages'

DD2: 'you better get some just in case.'

Me:

Shall I write to the school and congratulate them?

Clever girls.

coldtits · 12/02/2010 14:54

I'd be very pleased, actually!

diddl · 12/02/2010 14:56

They took notice then!

claw3 · 12/02/2010 14:58

I am amazed they can give headspace to the notion of you having sex

VengefulKitty · 12/02/2010 15:01

Excellent teaching!

mummyflood · 12/02/2010 15:02

Exactly what TeamEdward said. Can just imagine DH's face given a similar exchange with our DS's!! or , not sure which it would be!

Mallenstreak · 12/02/2010 16:24

Ha ha! Reminds me of the time I woke up with a bad back and was going ooh aah etc as DH tried to help me get up. DS always comes bursting into our room in the morning but on this occassion I could hear him dithering outside our door. He then said - are you having sex in there?

FreakoidOrganisoid · 12/02/2010 16:27

Excellent! Did she actually say bed action?

EccentricaGallumbits · 12/02/2010 16:52

yes. she called it bed action.

i think i prefered it when they were sweet and innocent, rather than discussing my (non existant) sex life with seriousness.

PeedOffWithNits · 12/02/2010 17:46

wow, if my girls can talk as openly to us about sex at that age and are so sensibly clued up about STIs etc, I will be well pleased (they are 8 & 10 now)

what excellent PHSE they must get at their school - am sure the staff would welcome some feedback - anonymous if you prefer LOL

DanFmDorking · 13/02/2010 13:33

?? can talk as openly to us about sex at that age and are so sensibly clued up ??
Agreed.

Yes, please make a point of telling the school, they appreciate positive feedback.

thehillsarealive · 13/02/2010 13:48

if you are infertile how did you manage to get 2 DD's? not being spikey, just being nosy asking.

apart from that, i am liking their thinking.

Dominique07 · 13/02/2010 13:50
Grin
EccentricaGallumbits · 13/02/2010 15:34

Because since having the 2 DDs I've lost one tube and the opposite ovary.

I will tell the school and also the producers of Eastenders who I also thank for their rounded education.
