DISCLAIMER: this involves a case of animal cruelty.

Basically, our mayor has been found guilty of animal cruelty, after neglecting his kitten. It died due to a massive flea infestation.

Just thought any local mners might like to know what sort of chap he is.

Here's the link

good use of the winey red blood word but perhaps a little ott?

thesteelfairy · 10/02/2010 20:32

Poor kitten but totally OTT way in which it has been reported. Some fresh out of uni junior reporter perhaps?

kinnies · 10/02/2010 20:41

Not OTT at all IMO.

What a nob.

Feelingsensitive · 10/02/2010 20:46

Cant read the link as I am a big wuss but get the drift.

NO YANBU (now that I have looked up that fabulous word exsanguination. I will be liberally applying it in as much conversation as possible tomorrow)

Quintessential12belowZero · 11/02/2010 10:17

Oh what a horrible case of neglect.

He is your local mayor?

I would not trust anybody to manage official affairs, who cant even care for his own pet.

He should be forced to resign!

SawneyBeane · 11/02/2010 10:21

What an utter toerag.

Hope he has the decency to resign.

BelleDameSansMerci · 11/02/2010 10:21

Tosser. Thoughtless bloody cruelty.

Exsanguination too good in my opinion. Maybe a really, really bad case of fleas? Although, actually, that would just be a really slow method of exsanguination so, no, YANBU!

Love that word, by the way. My favourite, though, is saying that I am "incandescent with rage" - fortunately doesn't happen very often and, obviously, if I can say it I'm not actually feeling it. Bit of a drama queen here...

GhoulsAreLoud · 11/02/2010 10:23

I didn't know fleas could kill!

So easy to treat though, how could anyone let this happen?

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/02/2010 10:31

Sorry I agree with steelfairy - the way that has been written up is almost funny (NOT the story I hasten to add, just the overblown prose).

'Emotional scenes at court', 'sucked dry of blood'.

Quintessential12belowZero · 11/02/2010 11:01

What are the chances that this pathetic man will take responsibility for his actions?

I am sure he will wriggle out of community service.
