I did not even listen to what she had to say, I automatically turned over to that 'derelict homes' programme on BBC1.

I'm not even suer what I dislike about her, as she does do so much for charity which is admirable- but I find my teeth itching whenever I see her.

gutsy?she'd sell her granny on ebay for publicity

Stinkermink · 09/02/2010 20:36

Macca deserved what he got and she is worse than insufferable. I know I shouldn't be influenced by the media but she seems to me to be that person who has always had it worse than you. No matter what has happened to you she has had it worse and is a perfect example of how to polish a turd.

She has no understanding of war veterans or children affected by war but consistently manages to get her hard luck story in first. She is your classic bullsh*tter and will always cling to the negative and never say thank you for what she actually has.

YANBU

Ditto Piratecat, my mother lost her leg from upper thigh to cancer a few years back...but you certainly wouldn't hear her making quite such a song and (ice) dance about it...when her life is certainly for more difficult and effected than H Mill's.

Vinomum · 09/02/2010 20:51

I met her once at a charity do I was working on. She was awful, totally up her own arse, didn't speak to anyone and, as one of my colleagues pointed out, hadn't even bothered brushing her hair.

Speaking of which, before she chopped her hair off I used to think she was a pretty bitch. Now I think she's a minging bitch.

RedbinDippers · 09/02/2010 21:54

Rebeccarabbit:

Sorry about last nights pathetic joke, I didn't want to make anyone hopping mad.

MrsC2010 · 09/02/2010 21:58

Lol

scottishmummy · 09/02/2010 22:03

aye you didn't have a leg to stand on

YourCallIsImportant · 09/02/2010 23:00

Rumour has it that Stella McCartney stubbed a cigarette out on Heather's false leg at her and Paul's wedding. Allegedly.

NiceShoes · 09/02/2010 23:13

OMG,Yes allegedly Stella hates Mills.Well daddy marrying a gold-digger must hurt

jasper · 09/02/2010 23:15

shame on those of you who have made nasty digs about her disability.
My bil knows her and speaks very highly of her as it happens. Was not going to mention that but feel need to balance the negative friend of friend comments here.

YourCallIsImportant · 09/02/2010 23:20

Did you see her on GMTV? Or on the steps of the High Court after her divorce hearing? She's bonkers.

NiceShoes · 09/02/2010 23:21

I think there are more negative anecdotes than positive anecdotes about Mills.

jasper · 09/02/2010 23:24

I saw her years ago on This Morning giving agony aunt advice as a virtual unknown .

A troubled adolescent who was involved in crime and who had run away from home phoned the show. HM told her she could come and live with her and she would help her out.

The young girl did exactly that - lived with HM for several months and got her life back on track

YourCallIsImportant · 09/02/2010 23:38

Is that in her book? Along with her running away to the circus, being abused, giving millions to charity, buying 100,000 dogs to save them from fur trade, etc.

So many of her stories have been proven to be fibs and fabrications that people find it difficult to believe anything she says, even if it might be true.

She's the girl who cried 'wolf' too many times for my liking I'm afraid.

jasper · 09/02/2010 23:47

Not in her book. Well before she was famous .

Triggles · 10/02/2010 11:17

I just got tired of hearing her bang on about her leg on Dancing on Ice. It was interesting during the first show, but she managed to make comments about it each and every time - as if "don't forget, I'm doing this on one good leg!" so that people knew about it. Like she'd LET them forget.

Personally, I would have been more impressed if she had simply said on the first show "yup, doing it with a prosthetic, but from here on in, let's not bring it up - I'm just like everyone else" and then actually NOT brought it up.

RebeccaRabbit · 10/02/2010 17:59

Why not go over to the SN board and make your jokes about disabled people there - I'm sure they'd find you hilarious.

Of course there are lots of negative anecdotes about her, the British press are bullies but are too scared to go after Macca with his mighty legal team so they pick on Heather.

I've read plenty of positive things about her, how she organised prisoners to alter prosthetic legs no longer needed by NHS patients but useful to amputees in (I believe) Crotia. Also lots of personal anecdotes about how she has counselled young amputees.

Of course, she's going to talk about the challenges of skating with an artificial leg - that's what the producers want her to discuss. And it's been interesting - and no doubt inspirational for many disabled people - to see what an amputee can achieve.

RedbinDippers · 10/02/2010 23:29

RebeccaRabbit Are you HM in disguise?

jasper · 11/02/2010 01:02

well said RebeccaRabbit.
I am astonished at the way people feel they can mock her disability - or criticise her for ever mentioning it.
Sha did huge amounts of work for war amputees before she was ever well known

THe British press are indeed bullies

piprabbit · 11/02/2010 01:44

Whenver she turns up, gamely parading herself across my TV screen, I feel as if she's looking for something from me, not sure what, my approval, my admiration, my adoration?

Whatever it is she wants, she won't be getting it from me.

Triggles · 11/02/2010 18:31

I have no problem with her bringing it up initially, but to do something physical and then constantly use it as an excuse as to why she's not doing well, or as a fallback excuse, just takes the piss, IMO. I think it's good that she gave it a go, but while it's a huge part of her life, can't she just say "ah well, I havd a tough time mastering the routine this week" without pulling out the leg thing constantly? Yeah, I know I probably sound unreasonable. So what?

happyland · 11/02/2010 19:09

fricking hate her, and thats nothing to do with her leg. She is a prize tit
